Dr. Grenell is currently the President /CEO of the Grenell Group, LLC, a boutique consulting firm in Milwaukee that specializes in urban education innovation with a focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) entrepreneurship, diversity leadership, applied organizational development strategies and entrepreneurship/wealth creation ecosystems. His firm is involved in faith based economic development corporation planning, light manufacturing planning, and regional and statewide entrepreneurship and economic development education. He is the former Vice President and Dean of Diversity and Associate Professor of Africana Studies at Colgate University, the former Associate Provost for Diversity at Marquette University and the former Interim Assistant Provost for Diversity and Multicultural Affairs and MPA Director at Auburn University. Dr. Grenell has a Ph.D. in Political Science from Northern Illinois University, a Master of Public Policy Administration (MPPA) degree from Mississippi State University, and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Tougaloo College.
Keenan is the founder of the African-American Entrepreneurship Summit, Inc., and he is a Global Fellow at the Institute of Innovation, Creativity and Capital (IC²) at the University of Texas at Austin, an internationally recognized think and do tank dedicated to advancing the theory and practice of entrepreneurship and wealth creation. He has been featured in Diverse Issues in Higher Education in February 2012 and May 2010 issues, Diversity MBA Magazine’s January 2008 issue, and Milwaukee Magazine’s December 2007 issue. Grenell was also recognized in 2003 by the Opelika-Auburn News as one of the 10 most progressive people in the Opelika-Auburn, Alabama area.
